The Mascoutah Fire Department provides fire and rescue services to the residents in and around Mascoutah, Illinois. We cover approximately 150 square miles that include both the City of Mascoutah and the Mascoutah Rural Fire Protection District.
Included in our district is Mid-America Airport, where the Mascoutah Fire Department serves as primary response for all non-aircraft incidents. Our fire station, located near downtown, serves as the hub for our operations.
Our department consists of dedicated volunteers including a Chief, Assistant Chief, Deputy Chief, Captains, Lieutenants, and Firefighters. We maintain several mutual aid agreements with surrounding communities to ensure comprehensive coverage for all emergencies.

Technical rescue services including vehicle extrication, confined space rescue, and emergency medical assistance.
Community education programs, school visits, and fire safety awareness initiatives to prevent emergencies.
Primary response for all non-aircraft incidents at Mid-America Airport within our district.
Cooperative agreements with surrounding departments to provide and receive assistance during major incidents.
Active participation in local events, safety demonstrations, and community engagement activities.

Sign Up for E-Alerts →The Mascoutah Fire Department is always accepting applications for new members. Applicants must meet the minimum requirements listed below. Applications are reviewed frequently and applicants are invited to join as openings are available.
Applications can be submitted at the Mascoutah Fire Station during our weekly meeting on Tuesdays at 7pm. Applications can be picked up at the station.
